LuaBin was created by Brandon Gandy in early 2005 from an idea to easily share Garry's Mod 9 Lua code snippets with friends. Although it wasn't orignally designed for the public, it was modified to accommodate multiple users and announced on the Official Garry's Mod Forums. Since then LuaBin has been running on the back burner and very rarely needed any maintenance. It has moved from web server to web server, changing location and URLs a few times... becoming completely unaccessible in a few instances. It has since been rewritten from scratch with the support of Chad Barrett.
